Cape Cod Bay Challenge
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
For those of you who haven't heard about the Cape Cod Bay Challenge (CCBC), it an endurance event where 60-80 insane individuals jump on stand up paddleboards at 5am on August 20th and paddle 34 miles across Cape Cod Bay (9-10 hours from Plymouth to Wellfleet). Why do we do this?....Because we are all interested in raising money for an unbelievable organization called Christopher's Haven. Christopher’s Haven provides temporary housing for children (and their families) that travel to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston for prolonged cancer treatments.
This will be my third crossing of Cape Cod Bay. When I first participated in this event two years ago, I didn't know much about Christopher's Haven and, honestly, although I was happy to be helping raise money for a great charity, my participation in the event was more about the personal challenge. After my first CCBC in 2009, I became involved with organizing the event and since then I have had the good fortune of being able to meet and spend some time with a few of the kids and families staying at Christopher's Haven. Hearing how much they appreciate and are thankful for the services Christopher's Haven provides during a very difficult time, makes me more determined than ever to do what I can to support this wonderful non-profit.
Please support me in my paddle across the Bay through a donation on my behalf. Any and all level of donation is welcome and much appreciated
Last year the CCBC Event Series was able to raise over $80,000 for Christopher's Haven and this year our goal is to break $100,000.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support!!!!
Be Well,
Mike Chase
