Nicholas Taylor = Walk for Wildwood School
Dear Friends and Family and other website visitors,
I am enjoying myself at Wildwood School, in Schenectady, New York. There, I am getting the education I need to help me reach my maximum potential as a person with Down syndrome.
I am making new friends at Wildwood and look forward to the 2009-2010 school year. But as many of you know, Wildwood School is a not-for-profit organization. Fundraisers and contributions from individuals, such as yourself, are necessary for Wildwood to continue to thrive and serve children such as myself.
On October 10th, at 10 a.m. at Siena College (Loudonville, New York), my school is having a charity walk called "Walk for Wildwood." I would like to invite you to walk with me if you can, or to make a donation...any amount helps and will be greatly appreciated. You can make a contribution directly off of this web site.
Thank you as always, on behalf of myself and my family, for your support. And special thanks from my new friends and school family at Wildwood.
With sincere gratitude,
Nicholas Taylor, age 8
P.S. As you all know, at present I am non-verbal so my mom helped me with this letter. Thanks to Wildwood School, I am working more on the Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS) and improving my ability to communicate.
