Pedaling the C & O Canal for the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
On June 24th - 25th Brian Bartell, Mike Thron, Chuck Franklin and 6 others set out on an adventure down the 184. 5 mile Chesapeake & Ohio Canal Tow Path from Cumberland, MD to Washington, DC to raise awareness and donations for a disease that has touched all of ours lives, Pancreatic Cancer. Our fathers all died of this disease and we wanted to honor them in addition to supporting this cause.
We teamed up with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, which is the only non-profit charity that focuses on Pancreatic Cancer on a national level and FirstGiving to facilitate the donations. By making a pledge on our behalf, you are supporting ongoing research to eradicate this devastating disease and helping provide much needed support for pancreatic cncer patients and their loved ones.
Our goal was to raise at least $3,000 with this ride and as you can see we have exceeded that. Even though we have exceeded our goal your pledge is still very important to us. Your donation is tax deductible, the the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.

Thanks a million to Paul Thorson, Steve Logan and Charles Cheek for making this ride possible.
Sincerely,
Mike, Brian & Chuck
