Dear Friends & Family:
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! On Sunday, March 10th, I will once again be “Freezin’ For A Reason” by joining members of the Torch Run (police, fire and corrections) in the 6th Annual "Torch Run Plunge" at Goddard Memorial State Park in Warwick. Any donation that you can give would be greatly appreciated and maybe you can come down and watch me take the plunge into the "Icy Water". My goal again this year is to continue as a member of the "Super Plunge Club" by raising $5,000 for Special Olympics Rhode Island. With your help, I hope I can achieve my goal.
I have been participating in Special Olympics Rhode Island for over 25 years, competing in basketball, bowling, track & field and golf. Special Olympics has taught me about sports, friendships and that I can do anything if I put my heart into it. These opportunities to compete in my favorite sports are made possible by the generous support of people like yourselves.
Special Olympics relies on individuals, volunteers and businesses to support its year-round programs of sports training and athletic competitions in over 23 sports. Your donation is very important to me and the over 2,700 athletes who "Inspire Greatness" every day.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. If you do not like to do these things over the internet, but would still like to support me, you can send a check payable to Special Olympics Rhode Island to me at 8 Teakwood Ln., Barrington, RI 02806. Sending it directly to me will ensure that your check gets credited properly.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
If you're a fan of dignity, acceptance and courage, then you're already a fan of Special Olympics Rhode Island.
