Help these pups walk & live happy lives
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
Valley Cats opened its doors to dogs about 4 years ago. Since then we have rescued hundreds of cats and dogs. Many are found dumped on the streets of phoenix in the hottest part of the year.
Our efforts have not only re-homed kitties and pups but, we have taken on animals in need of major medical assistance. These include a litter of puppies with parvo (Corky), two pups that had to have legs amputated after being hit by cars. One, Molly, still has a fractured pelvis and is in need of extensive physical therapy and a doggie wheelchair. Jack, story below, has had a very rough life after being shot and subsequently diagnosed with knee issues. One of our most notable rescues was Toffie who was so severely beaten by his owner that he had to have a rear leg amputated. Rockie was abandoned by his owners at the vets to be put down because he needed shoulder repairs. He was such a special boy that the vet refused and has offered to perform the surgery and foster Rockie until adopted.
One of many stories - Jack: Jack was rescued by our group after being shot in the face. He subsequently lost his left eye due to his injuries. Even after all that he is a huge lover boy. All he wants to do is sit next to you and be petted from time to time. He will talk to you with a quite whine and give you a deep stare with his one eye letting you know he is there and wants your attention. A great lady adopted Jack and had him for about 2 years when she was diagnosed with cancer and was not able to continue to care for Jack. We once again opened our homes to Jack. Shortly thereafter he was diagnosed with Luxating Patella’s. Both knees would have to be rebuilt. This will be a long hard recovery with as much as 6 weeks of minimal mobility.
Will you please help Jack, Molly, Rockie and the many other pups through their next journey in life?
Our current commitments to these pups and others amounts to in excess of $12,000.
