Every morning when I drop Whitney off for work at the Village I thank God we have a place for her to go. She loves the vocational training program at the Village. She enjoys the small paychecks but more than that she loves fitting in. At the Village Whitney's tasks are simplified so she can manage them. She's finally found a place where things are made to work for her. She no longer has to measure up to standards that seem out of reach. If we didn't have the Village she would be sitting at home alone all day, not contributing to much of anything and basically wasting a life.
As most of you know Whitney has Huntington's Disease. This neurological degenerative disease is progressing and the day will likely come when Whitney won't be able to work. For now we are grateful that she can, and hope you'll support the organization that makes it possible for her to experience the joy of earning a paycheck and gaining a sense of accomplishment.
Giving on-line is comvenient and competely safe and secure. Many thanks for your support and please forward this to others who may want to support this cause.
