Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
I participated in the Police Unity Tour this past summer, which in part, was made possible by the donations received from my supporters. The ride was a great challenge, followed by an even greater sense of dedication and accomplishment. To be in a place with the families of those who have died in the line of duty and also surrounded by police officers who, just as I, completed the difficult 3 day ride as a tribute those individuals, was bittersweet and an honor. An honor worth doing a million times again. I am happy to announce that I will be participating in the Police Unity Tour 250 mile bicycle ride again in 2012.
Just as in 2011, I will need to raise $2000 dollars to participate, all of which goes to the National Law Enforcement Memorial located at the finish line of the ride in Washington DC.
This year, as a thank you to my supporters, I will be giving away bracelets in exchange for donations. The bracelets are black with a thin blue line which has a very special meaning.
What does the Thin Blue Line represent?
• The Blue represents the officer and the courage they find deep inside when faced with insurmountable odds.
• The Black background is constant reminder of our fallen brother and sister officers.
• The Line is what police officers protect, the barrier between anarchy and a civilized society, between order and chaos as well as the respect for decency and lawfulness.
• Together they symbolize the camaraderie we all share, a brotherhood like none other.
