There are over 147 million orphans in the world.  God has disturbed our family to the place where we can't just turn away and pretend that 'God will just take care of them'.  We believe that WE are His hands and feet in the world.  While we can't change the world for every single orphan, we can be obedient to what He has called us to do which is to adopt a little girl from Ethiopia.  Where He takes us next to impact the world, only God knows.  We're taking it one step at a time. 

While the total cost of the adoption process is $31K, we have already paid a little over $6K which leaves us with $25K to raise.  We are financially stable to take care of our daughter once she is home but like many families persuing adoption, the initial costs are expensive.  (Imagine having a child in the United States and not having healthcare to cover your costs.)  With international adoption, this includes legal fees, medical costs, our travel to the country twice next year (7 days each).  See our agency's website here for a breakdown of costs.
