Endurance Trust Swimming - Fundraising Page
We are racing in the Round The Sound 10km Swim in Bermuda to raise money for Pediatric Brain Tumor Research as a part of The Endurance Trust!
With money there will be research - with research we will find a cure - with a cure, our kids can once again dream of a cancer free future!
The Race:
Last year, on October 19th 2008, Harrington Sound, Bermuda: His Excellency the Governor of Bermuda Sir Richard Gozney welcomed the largest contingent of swimmers ever to
Bermuda for the 2008 Round the Sound Swim. 217 swimmers from over 25 US states, Canada, Europe, and
Bermuda took part in distances ranging from 800 meters to a 10K. The 10K event took the swimmers entirely around scenic Harrington Sound.
The swim originated some 18 years ago by
Bermuda open water swimmer Reeve Trott who brought the idea up to his coach Duncan Newby. The dream has become a charity fundraising event and since that time more than $300,000 has been raised by the swimmers and organizers for various local charities.
