Welcome to my SUPER PLUNGE fundraising for Special Olympics page. Along with some other devoted nuts we will plunge into Lake Michigan (at North Beach in Evanston Illinois) on February 27th and 28th. We will be jumping into the freezing cold water each hour for 24 hours straight. This will be my 4th year to raise money for this great cause but it also has caused a little bit of a problem for me. I recruited my brother in-law Mal last year to help out and now he believes he can raise more funds than me so help me prove him wrong, I even gave him a two week head start. Either way it will be a win-win for the athletes.
As a SUPER PLUNGER I will be collecting pledges from family, friends, co-workers, businesses and anyone else who would want to show their support for the Special Olympics Illinois. For every business who donates $100.00 or more to my effort, I will take the plunge wearing YOUR company shirt with YOUR logo on it. I will send photos also. Your donations will help provide athletes with intellectual disabilities the chance to participate in sports training and competition. I have been involved in Special Olympics for 7 years now. I would like to thank my company CARQUEST and Rich Halko for getting me involved in the Torch Run and Special Olympics. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
