3rd Annual Texas BigBeat - 2009 has been scheduled for November 1, 2009. Join me in supporting the event by donating for a very important cause.
Texas BigBeat is a drumming charity event raising funds to provide music and educational programs for underprivileged, special needs and at-risk children so that they can create a positive and productive future for themselves. Proceeds from this event go to Cherish Our Children International (COCI) for educational programs in the greater Houston area and Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation (MHOF) for musical instruments for schools in the greater Houston area.
2nd Annual Texas BigBeat - 2008
Last years event of the Texas BigBeat was one of 10 Five-Star Drum Shop Big Beat events going on across the United States and Canada. All events were held on Sunday, November 2nd, 2008. Texas BigBeat 2008 was held at George Ranch Historical Park arena and pavilion.
The goal for last year was 600+ drummers gathered to break the current World Record and to raise money for Cherish Our Children International and The Mr. Holland's Opus Foundation.
The second focus was to meet more than 600 drummers all playing the same song at the same time which will beat the current record held by Seattle with 520 drummers. We fell short of that goal and search to do so this year at the TEXAS BIG BEAT 2009.
This is an exciting event for all ages alike so please donate to this wonderful cause.
