Singing with the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus has absolutely changed my life.  I have been singing with GALA choruses for almost 10 years now (that's Gay and Lesbian Association of Choruses), and I can honestly say that singing with SFGMC has been a transformational experience.  I have cried my heart out on stage, laughed with tears of joy, lifted my voice in protest of inequalities and injustice, and marched in pride with SFGMC.

Running such a large organization (over 250 singers!) takes money and time, and we all know how scarce those are these days.  All singers pay membership dues, pay for wardrobe fees, retreat fees, and it really adds up.  

So, I'm raising money for the FAN club that helps singers experience the transcendent experience that is SFGMC.  

In addition to our regular concerts, SFGMC is going to the GALA Conference in Denver in July, and this will be my first to go.  I'm super excited to FINALLY go.  I'm determined to help get my SFGMC brothers to GALA too!  But I need your help!

From the picture, you may think that singing with the chorus is all fun and games.  No doubt, it is very fun and I have met many lifelong friends singing in GALA choruses.  But it isn't all rainbows and unicorns, and many of my SFGMC brothers are going through a lot -- physically, emotionally, and financially.  Help me make the road to GALA a little easier with a donation today.

If every one of my facebook friends gave $10, I'd easily surpass my fundraising goal.  Whether it's at $100, $50, $20, or $10, please give as much as you can.  Your donation will help this internationally recognized, world-class arts organization directly by ensuring that our members can keep singing, regardless of their financial need.
