Hi, I'm Addison Belle Adams and I am now 5 years old.  I have met many milestones this year, starting the year off finally walking all by myself...everyone was so excited! I'm still working on steps, but I know I'll get there.  I participated in my first National Summer Special Olympic Games with my friends from the Young Athletes Program and had so much fun.  I also started Kindergarten this year, and although I'm still adjusting, I'm really starting to like school.  My Mom and Dad are also really excited because I'm doing great on potty training.  My Mom and Dad are so proud of all of my accomplishments!!! 

My family and friends are very excited to be walking with me for our 6th year in the 9th Annual Omaha Buddy Walk.  The Buddy Walk is the only fundraiser for the Omaha Down Syndrome Parents Network.  Besides raising money, the Buddy Walk is also a way to help people learn more about me and my friends who have Down syndrome. 

I hope you'll come out and support me and my friends on Saturday, October 9th at the UNO football field.  The walk begins this year at 12:00pm but the entertainment starts at 11:00, there will be lots of activities for everyone.  We will gather our Team Addison at 11:30 to prepare for the walk.  Last year I used my walker but this year come see me walk all by myself!!!

My family and I know that there are many causes out there to support and that there just isn't enough to go around for everyone, but if you should choose to support our cause, me and my family would be grateful.
