Hey, Los Angeles, let's shred for a cause!
On March 17th, the Chill Foundation and Mountain High Resort are joining forces to raise some funds and awareness for the raddest youth development program in the west!
The 2012 Los Angeles Chill Shredathon is your chance to connect with snowboarders and skiers from the Los Angeles area who are going to spend St. Patrick's Day riding for a cause.
A Shredathon is similar to a walkathon: all the people participating collect donations and pledges, and all proceeds directly benefit the Chill program in Los Angeles! The only difference is, we'll be strapped into snowboards instead of walking down the street!
Please help us give our youth the chance to look forward -- to see beyond the circumstances of today -- and encourage them to focus on positive alternatives for the future.
What To Do:
Create your own fundraising page by clicking the "Register" button above. (Then tell all your friends to create their own pages!)
Find friends, family, co-workers, bosses, neighbors, and community members to sponsor you! As soon as you explain what the Chill Foundation does, they'll definitely want to support you! (Start by asking 10 friends for $10 on your facebook page!)
Participants who raise a minimum of $100 will receive a free day of riding. That's a $69 value!
Show up on March 17th between 10am and 4pm to ride, eat, play, rock out, and celebrate with your friends and all of us at Chill!
Stop by the Chill booth, enter our raffles, give us a high five, and have fun!
But wait! There's more!
We are also offering sweet incentives for those that can exceed the minimum participation fundraising goal of $100.
Raise $250, and you get a Burton LA t-shirt
Raise $350, and you get a Burton LA t-shirt and Standing Sideways snowboarding DVD
Raise $500, and you get the t-shirt, the DVD, and a Burton hoodie

This year, Chill LA is in the process of raising funds to become locally self-sustaining. Our goal is to expand Chill beyond winter sports, to include board sport programs such as skating and surfing throughout the year. We also hope to add nights of snowboarding during the winter. With these additional programs, The Chill Foundation will have the capacity to provide skill-building opportunities and experiences for additional youth.
For more information, visit: www.chill.org.
FINE PRINT: You can still participate if you raise less than $100 - but you will have to purchase your own lift ticket for the day. Tickets are available for $33. We encourage you to do your best and exceed the minimum goal we have suggested. Thank you!
