LNVA's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting the Latin Network for the Visual Arts, Inc. (LNVA) online fundraising page. LNVA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization whose mission is to enrich the community through visual arts created by contemporary Latin artists whose roots lie in countries where the Romance languages are spoken. Established in 2003, LNVA has exhibited contemporary fine art in styles ranging from the abstract to expressionism. Through its biennial Latin Views juried exhibitions, the LNVA has established its identity in the international art community. To date, over 100 local, national and international artists have exhibited their pieces at these events; nearly 1000 local area students from 26 schools have been given guided tours at the exhibits; and the opening receptions have welcomed over 1500 visitors from the community.
The LNVA has also developed a strong record of service to many segments of the community, partnering with museums and galleries to bring a series of innovative bilingual, cultural, educational programs including panel discussions with artists, art workshops, and programs like our Traveling Art Exhibits, Latin Art in Public Places, The Painters’ Mark: a Latin Perspective and a Film Festival with a Latin perspective. In recognition for its “exemplary service to the Hispanic community”, the LNVA received from the Hispanic Professional Network in Hartford its “Arts and Culture” award for 2007. In developing these projects, the LNVA has established alliances with local and international collaborators and created a bilingual website, www.LNVA.us, to facilitate communication with local, national and international artists, galleries, educational institutions and the press.
Combining many hours of volunteer work and fundraising activities, the LNVA has been able to make its cultural and educational programs available at no cost to the community. LNVA projects are financed primarily by the generous contributions of private individuals with additional funding coming from corporate matching funds and the support of some local businesses. In addition, the LNVA has received grants from the Community Foundation of Southeastern Connecticut, the Pfizer Foundation, The Bodenwein Public Benevolent Foundation: Bank of America Trustee, and The Connecticut Commission on Culture and Tourism.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure and strengthens our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support – and please forward this to anyone who you think also might want to support the LNVA!
