Hi Friends and Welcome to the fundraising page of Christopher's Bluffers!

We are a group of middle-aged moms on a mission.  We are climbing 10,068-foot Mt. San Antonio, affectionately called Mt. Baldy, for a little boy that we know and love named Christopher Cameron.  Christopher has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and his muscles are breaking down at an alarming rate.  Even though many people have not heard of Duchenne, it claims the lives of 2 boys in this country every day.  It is one of the leading genetic killers of children in the world. 

We have joined a national campaign started by an organization in our hometown called Cure Duchenne.  Cure Duchenne funds promising research aimed at treating, and eventually eradicating, this tragic disease.  We wanted to help because we see this little boy struggle physically every day at school and we know that unless something is done soon, we will watch him deteriorate further until he can no longer walk, lift up his arms, or breathe.   

We asked Christopher's mother what we could do and she told us about this national mountain climbing campaign called Pick Your Peak.  None of us have mountain climbing experience and the thought of a 10,000 + peak is daunting, but not nearly as tough as what Christopher goes through every day.
