Funds raised during this event help pay for diagnostic procedures for women who are uninsured. It is this group of women who most often have large breast cancers, because they do not have annual mammograms. Studies have shown that early diagnosis is the key to prolonging survival. Therefore, it is imperative that we have a program to assist this underserved community.
