It's that time of year again...  

Dominic is out on the search for people to join him for the 10th Annual Brainstorm Run/ Walk.   We all had so much fun last year and want to make this year even better!  Therefore, if you missed it last year OR are just looking for a new cause to walk for this year we are excited to have you and welcome you to be a part of Dominic's Dream Team.

  This year has brought an extremly positive year for the Graser family. 

Dominic continues to progress and enjoys school, therapy and Kali's house so much.  The positive interactions that he encounters each day have brought him to a place we only once dreamed he would ever be at.  We have found ourselves to be extremly thankful for the terrible twos (Dominic's current developmental level) and have learned the power of time out! :)

Needless to say, we, like most people, have been living within the moment of each day and have found ourselves forgetting what a terrible medical condition Dominic truly has.  While the medication he is on currently controls his seizures we were reminded this year with his first at school "brainstorm" how emotional it truly can be.  I left work immeditely only to find Dominic terrified in emotion.  Because he hadn't had a seizure in nine months I think he truly didn't know what was going on.  We were thankful, however, that it wasn't major and school didn't have to give him any rescue meds.  The emotions each time bring us back to life before control when he was having an excess of 125 seizures a day.  It also reminds us not to take one developmental temper tantrum for granted!

We continue to feel blessed and thankful to everyone who has continued to accept our normal and be a part of who we are.  Without the continued love and support we truly would never be where we are.  To Dominic's Jenny and his first kiss, to Dominic's Bampa and the love of soda and to his little brother, Lincoln, who shows him how to get into trouble and then sit with him on time out... you have all helped Dominic to smile, love and be the great person he has grown into today!
