On April 17 I am going to run at the Salt Lake City Half Marathon for Alpha-1 and a cure, so please donate, it goes directly to research and is simple, fast and totally secure.  It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.

 

It is not just for my children, many people with Alpha will be running and helping the cause also.

Our daughter Saddie (SZ) and son Easton (MZ) have been diagnosed with Alpha 1. It is the 3rd most common serious genetic disorder in the world and can result in life-threatening liver or lung disease in children and adults. It affects the liver and can lead to liver failure at any time in life. It is the leading genetic cause of liver transplantation in children. Currently, the only cure for the liver disease of Alpha-1 is a liver transplant.
