Thanks for visiting my NYWC Write-a-Thon Fundraising Page!

On June 9, I'm joining other writers in the NYC area in the second annual Write-a-Thon. Like a Walk-a-Thon, participants ask friends and family for donations. But instead of getting outside and exercising our legs, we stay inside and induce writer's cramp.

For nearly eight hours, we'll write, take part in workshops, write, twiddle our thumbs and write some more. Contributions will help fund NYWC's creative writing programs for at-risk youth, the homeless and formerly homeless, the formerly incarcerated, seniors, and many others that aren’t heard from often enough in our society. Last year, NYWC held more than 600 workshop sessions at 35 locations throughout NYC.

Thank you for your generosity as I 'go the distance' on June 9th. Your pledges will help NYWC continue to offer free, unique and powerful creative writing workshops in neighborhoods throughout NYC.
