"We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give." ~Winston Churchill
As many of you know, I began interning with Big Brother Big Sister of Midcoast Maine following graduation from Franklin Pierce University in May 2011. Since then I have learned a variety of new skills that I know will prove to be useful in my future endeavors.
Furthermore, I have seen firsthand the positive impact this program has made in the lives of so many children in the Midcoast. The relationships professionally supported by the BBBS staff give children facing adversity opportunities to learn and grow from mentors within the community.
Being that I so strongly support this agency, I would love to offer them a donation of $1000 by the time I end my internship. I have chosen $1000 because that is the cost of supporting a match for one year. Working for BBBS has impacted my life, and with your help I will be able to help a child be matched with not only a mentor, but a lifelong friend.
Thank you in advance for your consideration, and I sincerely appreciate any amount you would be willing to donate!
