Hello,
As a lifelong animal lover, I've been passionate about the plight of homeless pets. For the past eleven and a half years, I've been a volunteer at Northwoods Humane Society near Forest Lake, Minnesota. During this time, I've worked in many areas, including adoption counseling & adoption days, dog walking, cat socialization, fundraising events and fostering kittens. I served several terms on the Board of Directors, and was the grant writer for five years.
On any given day, Northwoods Humane Society provides food, shelter, medical attention and love for the 100+ animals in the building, while they wait to be adopted into a loving home!
Please put your money where your mouse is!
*$10 pays for kitten formula for a few days.
*$30 pays for a cat neuter & reduces cat overpopulation.
*$50 pays for gasoline to transport animals for one week.
*$100 pays for a heartworm test & dog spay to reduce the number of unwanted puppies.
*$250 pays for half of the shelter's electric bill for one month.
Please consider a donation in memory of my beloved companion, Lucy. She was a neglected 8-month old yellow lab mix whom I rescued from an abusive owner back in 1999. I adored her for 13 years until, sadly, she passed away on March 29th. She is greatly missed. Lucy was the very reason that I chose to dedicate so much time to helping other needy pets throughout the years. Truly, a Labor of Love that has paid off a hundred fold in my life!
Every homeless or mistreated animal deserves the best humanity has to offer...
Thank you for caring, and for helping these important efforts to continue!
Warmly,
Molly Nemec
