Ken and I would like to personally thank you for taking the time to visit our fundraising page and for supporting our efforts. Your donation will be going toward research and awareness. Without your support there would not be a Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation...so we and all those affliced with Sjogren's thank you very much.
Ken and I have committed our lives to physical well being ever since I was diagnosed with Sjogren's some 8 years ago. We also wanted to give back to the Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation which has done so much for me and other Sjogren's patients. I have become an awareness ambassador and Ken is on the SSF board of directors. We continue to participate and compete in numerous events under the banner of "Team Sjogren's". Our desire to raise awareness and funds for researh is what continually drives us to higher goals. This year we are taking on what will be our toughest challange. We have signed up to ride the "Copper Triangle". The "Copper Triangle" is a spectacular 78-mile loop cresting three Colorado Mountain passes with the hightest reaching an elevation of 11,318 feet. The course passes through three ski areas and is littered with historic mining outposts. All in all we will have climbed close to 6,000 vertical feet by the time we finish. Our goal is to complete the event in under 7 hours.
Participating in such events helps us raise awareness and research funds for Sjogren's. The Foundation continues to work towards finding a cure as sell as a protocol that will better treat those with Sjogren's. As of this writing two other cyclist, Marc Rinehart & Chuck Roy, have volunteered to join us and be part of "Team Sjogren's" cycling. We want to personally thank them for putting in the time and miles to assist us with our goal. Wish us luck and once again, thanks for supporting our efforts. Words alone can not thank each of you enough.
Anne & Ken
