Hello!!
I am Jamie..the one with the brown hair and bangs on the left! & I am Katie ...the older one on the right...you can't tell but I have blue eyes! The name of our Team is Sugar and Spice!! For those of you who know us we really do not have to explain who is Sugar and who is the Spice:-)
Dear Friends & Family,
It gives me great pleasure and pride to say that my girls have decided on their own to take the intiative,challenge and participate in the Red Shoe 5k Run on April 10th.They have pledged that they will RUN, WALK, or CRAWL and possibly all three to the finish line :-)
A little background on my girls. They have been involved in Charitable events since they were in the womb. This is very natural to them. They are extremely giving and helpful children. Any and all events we have ever been a part of we have always brought them to. Needless to say, we are a part of a numerous amount of charities but the one closest and dearest to our hearts and to our daughters is Ronald McDonalds House Charities. RMHC is a fabulous place to go to and spend time with as a family. The kids really understand and feel like they are truly taking part in making a difference instead of accompaning Mommy and Daddy. It has enlightened my childrens spirit of generosity and actually seeing the act of kindness and its reward. It is a humbling feeling. We are truly fortunate to have such spirited children who are willing to go out and give back to the community.
It wasn't too long ago, actually it was last month in February that Katie donated $325 out of her Piggy Bank to Ronald House for the Battle of the Bakers. This time around My girls have set a goal to raise $1000.00 Please help us by coming to cheer us on or by simply making a donation to help us support Ronald McDonald House Charities.
It costs $65 to house a family for one night. Most of the families can not pay and are never turned away for there inability to pay! We operate at 100% capacity 365 days a year and the house is a 10 bedroom facility. Any amount would do. Please do not feel that a $5 donation would not do. Every little bit helps.
At this time I would like to thank all of the people who continuously help support my daughters in the pop tab collection. We have people as far as Puerto Rico, Florida, Pennsylvania, New York collecting pop tabs for them. Thank you!!! Thank you!!
