Help Buffett on His Way to Paradise!
In case we haven’t me, I’m Buffett. A few months ago, I was brought to the Lexington Humane Society after having been tossed out of a moving car. This caused severe pelvic fractures and lots of bumps and bruises. It was unsure how my leg and hip would heal. I had another follow up appointment with the LHS vet this past week and after careful deliberation, the decision was made to amputate my leg.
I heard the vet team say that my limp leg was putting strain on my recovery and that the amputation would actually help my rehabilitation.
Although this was scary, I trusted Dr. Liz and kept a positive spirit. As soon as I woke up, I felt great. I kept wagging my tail and tried to give kisses to all the staff. Of course, I got tired quickly, and slept a lot while the vet team kept a close eye on me. But now, I’m back to my fun loving self and am running around as if I had four legs. I love chasing and playing with other dogs, toys, and people.
I received a second chance because of love, hope and generous donations from people in our community. And, you can still help other animals like me. Every dollar makes a difference. Thank you for your support and helping our four (and three) legged friends!
