This page has been ceated to support Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund. They do an amazing job at protecting gorilla's lives and habitat.

 

Gorillas are wonderful and beatiful animals! They share a great percentage of DNA with us, but it isn't only genetics that brings the two species close:

 

- they live in groups and develop strong family bonds, having deep emotional lives;

 

- they are able to make and use tools and have a cultural identity - there are different cultures in different areas, these differences are shown, for instance, trough the different methods of food preparation;

 

- each individual has its own personality, gorillas will show individual color preferences; 

 

- they have a good memory, and even think about the past and future.

 

Gorillas have the right of having a future. A safe future! 

And that is what you'll be contributing for by supporting Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund.

 

Dian Fossey was a great woman, and a brilliant scientist. She was a pioneer in studing these great apes, established a relationship of trust and friendship with those she spent time with, and died protecting them, brutally murdered!

 

Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund follows her work on giving gorillas a future by protecting them and their homes.  It's very important to support people like them, who fight for our Planet Earth and its inhabitants.
