Here we are again, it's GABR time!
For those of you that are new to GABR, it is a wonderful fundraiser very near and dear to my heart. The Great American Bike Race is held once a year and raises thousands and thousands of dollars for families with children that have been affected by Cerebral Palsy and other disorders. Families are awarded money to help pay for medical costs and equipment that are needed for these disorders.
In our case, our beautiful now 8 year old daughter, Kenley, for unknown reasons was born with a brain injury that causes the muscles in her legs to be tight and spastic. Thankfully for the most part she is able to get around like most kids her age but has a little more difficulty keeping up.
This past summer, Kenley had extensive surgery to her legs and feet that required a lengthy hospital stay and recovery, followed by another 2 weeks of inpatient rehab to help get her strength back and learn to walk again. Funds from GABR helped pay for all the travel expenses and hotel stays as well as medical bills that insurance did not cover. Clint and I were extremely grateful for this.
For the 4th year my teammates and I will be competing in the Great American Bike Race on April 28th.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
