Polar Plunge 2011
Aloha Family and Friends!
On Saturday, March 5, 2011, once again I’ll be“freezin for a reason” to help raise funds for the athletes of Special Olympics Hawai‘i during this year’s annual Polar Plunge – and I would really love your support!
Why jump into a freezing pool of ice water? My 24 year with Special Olympics has opened my eyes to many things - the amazing strength and courage of our athletes and families, the transformative power of acceptance and love, and the incredible generosity of the community to those in need. This special day celebrates that very spirit of Special Olympics. So it is my turn to say mahalo - and to "be brave in the attempt" by jumping into icy cold water once an hour for 12 hours.
To do this - I must raise a minimum of $1000.00 to participate and I need your help! Donating through the Firstgiving site is simple, fast and totally secure. Please make a gift of $50, $25, $5 or anything that you can afford on my fundraising page today! No amount is too small - or too large!! :)
Or you can make a check out to Special Olympics Hawai‘i and place my name in the memo line to make sure that it will be credited to my goal. Please send the check to:

Special Olympics Hawai‘i currently has over 2,100 children and adults participating in year-round sports training and competition. Your contribution will help enable each one of these athletes to continue to take part in these activities. There is never a fee charged to any athlete or family tp oarticipate in the Special Olympics program. That is why your gift is so important.
