When I was just 21 months old, my parents had another baby, a little girl named Dorothy Elizabeth. 15 months later, she had her first seizure and was airlifted to Dartmouth medical center. She was released a few days later when everything looked okay. The story goes that I was so excited to have my little sister back home I tackled her to the floor in a bear hug. When she was 4 years old, she had another seizure and it was then that she was diagnosed with Epilepsy. Ever since that day, my family has been a huge supporter of the epilepsy foundation, a foundation that works to promote epilepsy awareness and help those families that struggle with fighting this disorder. Four years ago, my family organized this walk to spread awareness to our home state of New Hampshire. Each year we raise more and more money for the foundation, and this year we hope to raise the most money yet. I love my sister so much and she is by far the strongest person I know. Through the good times and the bad, she keeps her head held high and for that I admire her. Please, anyone who can, donate to this amazing cause to help people like my sister. Thank you!
