Nancy Edwards's Fundraising Page
Thank you for visiting my Extreme Personal Fundraising Page for the 2010 Polar Plunge benefiting the athletes of Special Olympics Virginia. This will be my 4th year plunging for Special Olympics and I can't wait to do it again! Working with Special Olympics has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As you may know, Special Olympics Virginia provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Special Olympics programs are about inclusion, joy, and accepting those who are different. Our team, the Prince William County Sheriff's Office, has won the Law Enforcement Challenge for raising the most money for the last two years! Our achievement is all due to the dedication and determination of our team members and to the generosity and big hearts of the family, friends and corporate sponsors that support us. Special Olympics do not charge a fee to its athletes, and relies solely on the commitment and generosity of volunteers, and of corporate and individual contributors. Thank you so much! Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure.
Your donation will also assist Special Olympics Virginia in reaching our total fundraising goal of $1 million dollars. That's 1 great reason for you to donate and 999,999 reasons for me to jump in the icy water of the Atlantic Ocean in February, the height of winter!
Many thanks for your continued support -- and please help us achieve our team fundraising goal of $11,000 by forwarding this to anyone who you think might want to donate.
