Harrington's 2011 MCC AIDSWalk KC Fundraising Page
THANK YOU ONE AND ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT, WHETHER FINANCIAL, PHYSICAL OR SPIRITUAL. IT WAS A GREAT DAY ALL AROUND!
WE ARE ACCEPTING DONATIONS BETWEEN NOW AND JUNE 30, SO PUT IT ON YOUR "TO DO" LIST IF YOU HAVE NOT ALREADY DONATED.
This year will mark my 7th AIDSWALK Kansas City. As a sexuality educator and biologist at Metropolitan Community College, I encourage students of all ages and backgrounds to branch out beyond their difficult academic tasks and contribute time and energy to the community we all share.
I always walk the AIDSWALK in honor and memory of my big brothers, Jack Harrington and David Harrington. I did not lose them to AIDS: they each died suddenly in 2001 and 2006. But in our five decades together, both David and Jack taught me, each in his own way, how to stand up and speak for what I know is right and good, and to stand in silence to protest what is wrong. They are always with me when I walk.
It is my passion to create conversations about sexuality that are honest and healthy. I walk the AIDSWALK to bring HIV/AIDS out into the light of a spring day, so we can all see that there is hope. Please join me in my efforts and donate what you can to the 23rd Annual AIDSWALK Kansas City 2011. Jack and David would be proud.
Would you prefer to write a check? Pay to the order of "AIDSWalk Kansas City", and mail to N.Harrington, MCC Penn Valley, 3201 SW Trafficway, Kansas City, MO 64111.
THANK YOU!
