20 MILLION people in the world have died of HIV/AIDS since 1981.  1.5 MILLION Americans have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS since 1980.  16,000 Missourians have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS since 1980.  4,200 Kansans have been diagnosed with HIV/AIDS since 1980.  35 MILLION people in the world live with HIV/AIDS today.  In Kansas City, 5,500 men, women and children are living with HIV/AIDS today. Last year, AIDSWalk Kansas City raised over $430,000 to benefit these local people living with the virus.
