Harrington's 2010 AIDSWALK Fundraising Page
WE WALKED!
BUT WAIT!
IT'S NOT TOO LATE!
YOU CAN STILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
PLEASE DONATE NOW!
This year will mark my 6th AIDSWALK Kansas City. As a sexuality educator and biologist at Metropolitan Community College, I encourage students of all ages and backgrounds to branch out beyond their hard academic tasks and contribute time and energy to the community we all share.
I always walk the AIDSWALK in honor and memory of my big brothers, Jack Harrington and David Harrington. I did not lose them to AIDS: they each died suddenly in 2001 and 2006. But in our 5 decades together, both David and Jack taught me, each in his own way, how to stand up and speak for what I know is right and good, and to stand in silence to protest what is wrong.
It is my passion to create conversations about sexuality that are honest and healthy. I walk the AIDSWALK to bring HIV/AIDS out into the light of a spring day, so we can all see that there is hope. Please join me in my efforts and donate what you can to the 22nd Annual AIDSWALK Kansas City 2010. Jack and David would be proud.
