The Children's Room is the largest nonprofit organization in Massachusetts solely dedicated to supporting grieving children, teens, and families.
Working with bereavement professionals and highly-trained volunteers, families from 80+ communities participate in peer support groups at The Children's Room where they are embraced by a safe and caring community.
At The Children's Room, we believe that death is a natural part of life and that everyone, even the youngest child, has the capacity within to heal. The Children's Room creates a safe and caring space for hundreds of families every year.
The Children's Room does not charge a fee for its services, relying primarily on individual contributions for funding.
In addition to its peer support services, The Children's Room educates the community through professional workshops, educational trainings and consultation. Our inspirational Teen Performance Troupe visits schools, professional organizations and civic groups, communicating with depth, poignancy, and humor, the role of grief in their lives.
