• In sub-Saharan Africa 32% of girls have never attended school—34% in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Worldwide, 16% of girls miss out on school completely.
• More than 121 million primary school-age children do not attend school; the majority of them are girls.
• More than 1 billion children suffer a lack of proper nutrition, safe drinking water, decent sanitation facilities, health-care services, shelter, education and information.

You can help protect a girl from abuse, child labor, sex trafficking, early marriage, and other frequent obstacles against girls born in cultures where females may be poorly valued. Your gift will allow trained staff -- familiar with the needs and various cultures -- to give nurturing support to girls through training, education, counseling, and advocacy on girls’ behalf.
