www.ChildrensAlopeciaProject.com Alopecia is an incurable autoimmune hairloss disease that is not life threatening, but it is life altering and the Children's Alopecia Project is there for all children in need living with hairloss due to all forms of Alopecia. We help in building self-esteem, providing support and raising awareness but best of all we have great programs all year long for the CAP Kids and their families.

As you all know, Jordan was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata last year. Since then we have joined this really great support group, Children’s Alopecia Project (CAP), to raise awareness about the disease and connect us with families in our area sharing similar stories. The CAP organization really has been an amazing outlet for us and I love that they’re main focus is to provide support and help build the self-esteem of children. Last year, they sponsored a weekend long camp event for the kids called Alopeciapalooza in PA, which turned out to be a major success! Jordan and I attended and it was truly a life altering experience for both of us. The kids felt so comfortable amongst each other and like part of a close group where they shared a common connection in their appearances. They had self-esteem building activities for the kids and educational seminars for the adults… it was an all around incredible experience!  

Well, this year’s Alopeciapalooza event will be held at a camp in OH. And CAP has provided us with this great fundraising tool to raise awareness and support for the organization and their cause. The money we raise will help ensure their continued sponsorship of these amazing events for children! So I’m asking for everyone’s help to raise funds for this cause that is especially dear to me.
