JESS WE CAN! (Fight Lupus & Run a Marathon)
HI!
This year I've decided to run the NYC marathon to raise money for Lupus, an autoimmune disease that affects over 1.5 Million people in the US (90% of them women).
To learn more about Lupus check out: http://www.lupusresearch.org/
So why do you care? Because one of those people is Jess!
Jess is a fabulous friend who was diagnosed with Lupus 7 years ago. Watching Jess undergo Chemotherapy and Dialysis to fight the Lupus that has attacked her brain and kidneys has been one of the most difficult experiences of my life. However it has also been one of the most inspiring. Her positivity and contagious smile, no matter the conditition of her body, has touched and inspired EVERYONE who has heard (or read!) her story. She has accepted her lupus, learned how to listen to her body and live the MOST full life. But Lupus is a lifelong, chronic condition. With funding and research we can continue to develop treatments and hopefully, some day, find a cure so future little Jess's won't have to fight as hard.
She is a ball of joy. Really. Now how can you NOT give us just 10 dollars?!
We are asking everyone we know to donate just 10 dollars...if you want to donate more, forward this to friends and family-- we want to touch as people as possible!
Can we raise $5,000 for Lupus? JESS WE CAN!
Health and Hugs,
Natty & Jess
