Friends and Family!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for the upcoming Rock and Roll Marathon, taking place on June 6th 2010 in San Diego.
The biggest inspiration in my life and in running this race is my late brother Brett Avram (1982-2007). In addition, I will also be running to support a couple of causes that are both near and dear to my heart.
As many of you know, I lived in Nashville for about 4 years after I graduated from college in Tennessee. In hearing about the Flood victims and watching all the horrific footage of homes and buildings being destroyed earlier this month, I decided to help in anyway I could.
Although I very much support the work of bigger Non-Profits such as the Red Cross and the United Way, I wanted to support the flood victims through a more grass-roots, community based effort. My friends in Nashville had mentioned that the Kingston Springs Elementary School had been severely damaged by the flood waters and was seeking donations. Therefore, I am donating part of my sponsorship proceeds to support the rebuilding of the Kingston Springs Elementary School in Nashville.
The second cause I am running for is the Indigo VIllage Educational Foundation which is a Non-profit organization that focuses on families, individuals and communities. Their goal is to provide educational programs in positive parenting and life skills. Their cutting-edge approach allows them to reach thousands of households by mostly word of mouth and reputation alone. I will be running to support their scholarship assistance programs.
Thank you everyone for your consideration and support in this sponsorship, as well as your help in supporting these amazing organizations. Your help makes all the difference!
With much love and gratitude,
Natalie Taitano
