Thank you to everyone who supported my marathon fundraising challenge. I successfully completed the Chicago marathon on Sunday 11th Oct 2009 in a time of 3:54 which I was really pleased with. The whole experience has been a real eye-opener for me - the training really takes over your life for a couple of months, plus the race itself really IS exhausting. But in those last few tough miles I knew I had to keep going to justify your support. I and I also knew that what I was going through was a lot easier than what cancer patients face in their struggle.

So thanks to you all for supporting me and donating to Caring for Carcinoid. I've raised nearly $1000 which all goes towards research into a cure for this disease.
