Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I'll be running the New Bedford Half Marathon on March 18, 2012, in honor of Owen (in the picture), a local boy who was taken from the world by Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA) at age 2.

SMA Type 1 (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), the #1 genetic killer of young children. SMA is degenerative and terminal and eventually impacts every muscle in the body. It never impacts the mind.

Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. The money will go to the largest SMA research group - the Gwendolyn Strong Foundation.
