I am proud to report that CLI has successfully completed its first Leadership Development Program in Kinshasa! We made a huge difference in the lives of our sixteen young Congolese scholars and I have no doubt that they will go back to their communities determined to use their talents to make a positive difference. However, to be completely honest, I am most excited not about the program that we have completed, but about the improvements that it will undergo over the next year. Just as importantly, I look forward to our continued growth as an organization that can support this innovative programming.

To make sure that we move forward as an organization, we need your support. You can feel free to donate through this site until we have a more permanent virtual home. Donations will be processed through Friends of the Congo, a tax- exempt nonprofit organization, until we receive our own tax- exempt status. This way, your donations will be tax deductible even if our paperwork has not quite gone through.
