UPDATE: Head shaving auction was a little rough this year, just made over $1,000, not quite to our goal, BUT, we are very grateful for ever dollar that we have raised so far!!! We appreciate everyone that comes out and gives us support and look forward to next year! We have BIG plans for next year and hope everyone can make it, details soon to follow! We have been hosting Alex's Lemonade Stand events in Lidgerwood since 2004 and we love each event we do! Since 2007 we have been hosting head shaving auctions to spread awareness and raise funds for the cause and that has been a huge success! This will be the 4th summer we have done this and have had 6 different auctions-our great friend Tanya Berg even did it twice!
2010 has brought us three brave ladies willing to give up their hair (for the right price :-)) to help ALSF by raising $$$ at our annual auction. Molly Cecilia, Allisa Willprecht and Angel Quintero will allow their heads to be shaved if we raise our goal! Typically, its $1,000, but since we have three of them this year we will try for $3,000!!!
Come check us out on Saturday July 24th in Lidgerwood during annual Heritage Days. You can see our Lemonade Stand Float in the parade starting at 10 AM on Main Street. The head shaving auction will follow immediately after the Parade. Find us on the Corner of Wiley AVE and Park ST (near the Corner Bar).
The standard Lemonade Stand will follow at NeTia's house where the Dunk Tank and other activities will be! If you have questions or would like to volunteer/participate contact NeTia @ 701.680.8079!
Check out the Tribute to Alex video I created using the song "Little Lemonade Girl" by Leigh Hansen! He is my cousin and a singer/songwriter who wrote the song just for her tribute! We sell the singles for $2 and the proceeds go to ALSF, of course.
