On January 1st 2011…I will be plunging into the
frigid and icy Susquehanna River at City Island for the
Humane Society of Harrisburg Area’s 14th Annual Penguin Plunge
to benefit our area’s homeless animals.
I have set a goal to raise ($300) and I am hoping you will join me by doing one of the following:
• TAKE THE PLUNGE WITH ME: Register with the Harrisburg Area Humane Society and start collecting! And then show up January 1st and plunge into the icy river with me!!
• MAKE A CONTRIBUTION: Support me and by making a secure donation online here! No amount is too small… The animals are grateful for every little bit you can afford!
With your support, the Harrisburg Area Humane Society will be able to continue its mission –
The mission of the Humane Society of Harrisburg Area (HSHA) is to build a better community for pets and people through compassion, protection, education, and collaboration. HSHA is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving the community and providing care for homeless animals since 1911. The organization accepts homeless animals regardless of their breed, age, medical condition, or behavioral condition and takes in thousands of homeless animals each year. However, HSHA does not euthanize adoptable animals due to lack of space or length of stay. The organization receives no funding from the government or other animal welfare groups and must rely on private donations and fundraising activities to support its mission.
I sincerely hope that you will join me and help us reach our goal.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
