Nikki Simpao - FASA 97 Elite

My name is Nikki Simpao and I play soccer for the FASA 97 Elite.  My team is playing in the Richmond Colonial Cup tournament Memorial Day weekend.  My team and I, together with the tournament are trying to raise funds for Connor's Heroes Foundation.  They are a local non profit agency that provides assistance to children with cancer and their families.  Connor's Heroes supports children being treated at the VCU Medical Center.

 For those of you who are not aware, I lost my grandfather to cancer this summer.  Cancer struck my family again, when my 4 year old cousin Jay was diagnosed with Burkitts Lymphoma in early January.  He has spent most of his time in the hospital since receiving chemotherapy.  His outlook is good and we are very hopeful.  He is receiving wonderful care and support at Levine's Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC, but it has been very hard on my family.

 I want to do everything I can to help raise funds to help other families in our own community.  I have an extra interest as I hope to attend Pharmacy School at VCU in the future.  Until then, the best way I can help is to help raise funds for organizations such as Connor's Heroes.  I have set up a web page that you can go to, to help my team raise funds.
