Team Trevor is the name given to our fund raising efforts we conduct each year for special needs children.
For the past several years we've been involved in various fund raisers to help promote acceptance and inclusion of people with Down syndrome. It is always a wonderful, heart-warming experience. This year we will once again be participating in the 2012 Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
As many of you know, Trevor, our 11 year old son, has Down Syndrome. He has competed in both Swimming and Track. This year he got to enjoy his first skiing vacation to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, where he took lessons with their wonderful adaptive program. He has just joined a dance team with his older sister, for those of you that know Trevor, you can only imagine the performance he will put on. He also loves basketball, football, volleyball and soccer.
Our goal is to raise over $5000 for Special Olympics this year. My personal goal is $2500 and Jeff's goal is $2500, although it looks like it may be Nicole $4000 and Jeff $1000, regardless it all goes towards a great cause.
The money raised is tax deductible and goes to help Special Olympics continue to offer year round training and competition in 22 sports.
Dignity, acceptance, and a chance to reach one’s potential – these are human rights worth promoting for everyone.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
