Have A Skate With Bob and The Rockford IceHogs
From the head of the Skate With Bob organization:
We started the Have A Skate Foundation in 2007 when my oldest daughter said I should put purple tape on my goal sticks to honor her late mother, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 1999.
From that modest start, we began holding benefit hockey games in Kansas City. In 2011, we are expanding to Rockford, IL, where we are honoring the life of another friend who PC took away from us far too early, Tom Jacobson.
We are a volunteer organization, which means that 100% of your tax deductible contribution goes to fight pancreatic cancer through our beneficiary, The Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. of El Segundo, CA.
Our sponsors pay our expenses, and we use local businesses wherever possible for our supplies.
We thank you for your donation, and the business community and the Rockford IceHogs for their support of Skate!

From Me:
My Dad was amazing. I miss him SO much. I can't believe he isn't walking me down the aisle next year, or holding his grandbabies when they finally come. But I can't have him back, so I need to prevent this from happening to other families.
Daddy loved hockey and this is the best way I can think to honor him. Come out and support us as we try and increase the survival rate of Pancreatic Cancer patients everywhere!
