This page started out as a page honoring My Grandma. I wanted her to be able to see what the love and caring that people had for her was capable of. And, I succeeded with flying colors! When we let her in on everything...she was so overcome with joy, she had no words. In her last few days, I gave her an update on what we've raised so far and let her know it was over $2000.00. And, even though it was kind of hard for her to speak she just smiled and said, "Really? That's great!"
So, here we are. My lovely Grandma has left this earth and is no longer suffering from this terrible disease but, we're still here and the fight must go on to find a cure. I was and always will be so proud of the courage and strength she set forth to fight this disease and only hope that I have that and then some to help with fighting for a cure! She is my Hero and will surely be missed!

Some of you may know my Grandma was diagnosed with, and currrently battling, Stage IV Pancreatic which is inoperable and in turn eventually terminal. This is a terrible type of Cancer that has little funding and its effects and severity are not well know.
My wish is that one day there will be a way to detect this early on and eventually there will be more options for people with this disease when the Chemo doesn't work. I have made a promise to myself to raise awareness of Pancreatic Cancer and do all I can to help raise funds so no one else has to go through what my family is currently going through and what many other families have already gone through. I don't care if it's just a dollar...I just want to raise money to help with research. Since, I can't take the Cancer away...I promise to do everything I can to raise awareness and find a cure. So, this how I chose to start! Baby steps.....
It's really important to me that my Grandma see the love and support that her family and friends have for her. It's not often you get to see the the wonderful impact that you have had on others lives. So, this is for her :)
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to my fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too.
