As president of CRBI for over two years, I continue to be amazed by the good that this organization does for clean water in the Upper Coosa River Basin. Our excellent staff works tirelessly, our board is strong and involved, and our many volunteers are simply the best in the world!
There are many ways you may be involved in CRBI, and our next event, Waterfest XII, is one of the most fun! Get your canoe-tug-of-war team together, or just come out and watch the festivities, but first make sure you are "invested" in the event by donating via my FirstGiving page.
Because the prizes for the highest Canoe-A-Thon fundraiser include a kayak, I have decided to give credit for all my contributions to Jake Bloodworth towards his earning one of his own. Jake, who is paraplegic, had never been in a kayak until a couple of weeks ago when he participated in a CRBI class for physically challenged paddlers. Joe said that Jake's face lit up with a huge smile and he was instantly in love with paddling. SO, if you contribute to me, the funds all go to CRBI and the credit all goes to Jake: please help him win a kayak!!!
Even if you can only give $1, please consider that - they DO add up!
Thanks very much, Nina
