No, I’m not crazy.  I’m just supporting a wonderful cause: the amazing athletes of Special Olympics Hawaii!  As you all know, I have worked for Special Olympics Hawaii for 14 years and it is time that I freeze my fanny off for this great organization.  You ask, how can I help Nip freeze in Hawaii?  By making a donation on my firstgiving website.

I have to raise a minimum of $1,000 (my personal goal is to go over $2,000) to have the honor of freezing my fanny off and with a donation you can lay claim to helping me with that special honor.  After I raise this $1,000, I will get the privilege of jumping into freezing (32 degree) water once an hour for 12 hours.  Doesn't that sound exhilarating?  Especially here in Hawaii.  OK, so maybe I will warm up to 80 degrees after 15 minutes, but then I have to do it again 11 more times!!!!

You can support my insanity in multiple ways. The easiest way to donate is to contribute online to my personal fundraising page.  The firstgiving website will send you an e-mail that you can use for your 2010 taxes.

You can also mail your donation directly to the office at the address below.  Be sure to include my name with your donation so staff knows where to credit the contribution.  Special Olympics Hawaii will send you your tax documentation.
