Noel Estep's Fund-A-Stache
Back again for 2008, this time I'm raising money for the local chapter of MentorKids. My wife Andi is a mentor in this program and serves as a role model to several children.
Founded in Phoenix in 2004, The mission of MentorKids USA is to recruit, train, and encourage mentors to be the presence of Christ in the lives of youth facing tough life challenges through one-on-one mentoring. Mentors commit time each week to be a friend and role model for an at-risk youth. The mentors offer concrete expressions of unconditional love and support to the mentee; and the two participate in activities designed to build friendship, trust, and constructive values.
!!UPDATED INCENTIVES!!
From now through May 31st, I will pledge to keep the mustache for an extra day for every additional $50 I raise. Raise a grand total of of $980 or more and I will be forced to keep the stache through my wife’s cousin’s wedding! You’d like to see those wedding pics now don’t you?
About Fund-A-Stache: A group of people who grow mustaches during the month of May to raise money for charity. The great thing is, you can choose whatever charity you want though this website.
About Firstgiving: This is the third year we've used them to handle our donation transactions and they've been great to us. If you're put off by the credit card processing fee, contact me directly so we can figure out another way to get the donation to MentorKids.
